You’ve fallen in love with and purchased art work. Now you’re ready to hang your beloved collection to enhance your home. Let’s get you started and keep you on track.

If your painting is hanging on the wall with no furnishings below please, please, please don't hang it too high. It's the most common mistake homeowners make. The center of the painting should hang at 54" from the floor. It's a comfortable viewing height. The artwork will look great too! The exception to the 54" rule is when you're hanging artwork over a sofa. The artwork should rest about 10" above the sofa.
For credenzas hang the artwork about 8" above the top.
Consider scale when choosing the perfect location for your piece. For example, a tiny painting hanging over a large sofa just doesn't work. Nor does a huge piece over a small sofa. Remember 'scale', you'll soon develop an eye for what looks right. Check out decorating magazines... see what the experts do and 'borrow' their ideas!
